In my 90th year, I was given the gift of flying. for my birthday. As I took the controls of the Cessna 210, I reignited memories of a life long ago. I was an officer and pilot in the United States Air Force serving in the Southwest Pacific during World War II from 1943-1946. I was a commanding officer of the 35th Fighter Control Squadron during the atom bomb missions that lead to the end of the war. I was recalled to service in 1950 and served an additional 27 months in the Korean War. I was president of Micro Publication Systems, with international offices in Los Angeles, Chicago, London and Paris. The company microfilmed engineering drawings for more than two hundred airlines, volumes for the Library of Congress, and numerous documents for companies and nations around the world.
I have written historical columns called “The Re-Echo”, travel logs and documentation of “Tombstone Territory” for the “OK Corral” television series. Now in my 94Th year,I am currently doing research in preparation for my next book.
