Sarah Gilbert was born in Beaverton, Oregon in 1986.
When she was 12 years old she began her cooking journey by spending as much time as she could in the kitchen with her Grandmother, Shirley who taught her to "Cook with Love" for those she cares about.
At age 13 Sarah started taking cooking classes and continued to do so through high school.
In 2009 Sarah won the "Kid's Lunch Box Time" on Paula Deen's website for her "Mini Cheesecakes."
In 2011 she had her first recipe published in "Simple & Delicious" Magazine for her "Pepperjack Mac." Next she had her "Streusel Topped Apple Cheesecake" published in "Taste of Home" Magazine September 2012; the same year she was featured twice in "Taste of Home Annual Recipes" Cook Book for her "Lick the Bowl Clean Hummus" and again for "Pepperjack Mac."
In March 2016 her recipe for "Smart Tarts" was published in "Simple & Delicious" Magazine and finally in August 2018 she won the grand prize in the same magazine for "Spicy Chicken & Bacon Mac."
All of this lead to her motivation to make her dream come true, to become a cook book author. There are more than 20 books she would like to write, and the list keeps getting longer!
Sarah Gilbert lives in Beaverton, Oregon with the love of her life, Saul Roberts and their two happy (and fat) guinea pigs, Hobbs & Chewie.
