The Viscount of Maisons-Laffitte is a modern-day romance set in the backdrop of history with a château and an international school housed in a centuries-old building. Charles, the Viscount, is a widower in his late thirties who seems to be puffed up in his own conceit; at least that is the firm impression he gives the American woman who teaches his son.
Chastity is a former graduate of the French lycée in Manhattan where she was seduced, scorned, and left pregnant and alone by the only son of a wealthy French family. She is not impressed by the Viscount’s status, nor is she looking to please him.
If it weren’t for an accident, which throws Charles and Chastity together, and the ongoing pressure of a repentant ex-boyfriend, superficial starlet, nefarious drug dealer, and an art heist that spans the decades, they might never have discovered that they are made for one another.
