About this book

Kabael is an ardha, born of an unholy union between mortal and divine.

He stalks the lands of Sriurvana, in the tropics of the Maradika archipelago, living only for himself, estranged from the rest of society.

As war rages between Sriurvana and the rival Empire of Kamenangan, he unknowingly rescues a young maiden. She seeks a companion on her journey north. Though reluctant, he heeds her request—unwittingly involving himself in a conflict between the different realms.

Inspired by Filipino folklore and legends, The Illuminated Maiden is the first in The Moksa Trilogy, a series of books that take inspiration from The Witcher, Game of Thrones, and Filipino myths and folk stories.

Embark on a dark fantasy tale of magic, political intrigue, and Eastern thought, and follow the tale of the ardha Kabael and his struggles against a growlingly hostile land.
