At a time when most young girls spend their days dreaming of being a princess and playing with their baby dolls. Savannah and her siblings were living a nightmare, combined with sexual, physical and mental abuse at the hands of their mother’s husband who would forever be known as “Daddy”! Daddy's Wives is based on true events that happened to a caring & loving family that went from living in an affluent neighborhood to an apartment over their grandparent's garage. Times were hard, but they made it.
Everything changed from the point that her Mother introduced the family to a man who would be known as Daddy. Daddy was not just a normal man, but a man with big dreams of being a millionaire by owning real estate property. This man was supposed to take them from the grips of poverty to a place of stability. This Daddy did things that no Daddy was suppose to do, with his controlling power he had sex with and privately married his young daughters some as young as 4 years old. Daddy had rules upon rules, and those rules were used to demonstrate and extract his power. By manipulating their mother he was able to use his power to keep his daughter submissive and unable to survive on their own. But Savannah had enough, she had to find a way to overcome his power, and break free from all his rules.
Since this story is based on true events and the author has personally had to live a life with the hurt and pain associated with being sexually abused as a child. We have elected to target the audience of those who can directly relate to this traumatic experience. All of our recent and scheduled book signings/literary events have taken place at local churches and therapeutic clinics for those who have been sexually abused.
