After witnessing a tragic accident at nineteen years of age, Verne Nesbitt found himself on his knees pleading with God to save him with the shed blood of Christ. From that moment on, he knew deep within that he would serve the Lord for the rest of his life.
In the course of his ministry, Verne acquired degrees in both theology and philosophy, which equipped him to teach philosophy and apologetics as well as biblical studies at Rockmont College (now Colorado Christian University) in Denver and at Westmont College in Santa Barbara. Concurrently, he served as senior pastor for several churches in California and Arizona.
For nearly twenty years, Verne served as a resource speaker for Youth with a Mission (YWAM) at the University of the Nations in Hawaii and at numerous mission bases around the world. He has traveled extensively throughout Europe, Africa, Latin America and the Pacific Rim nations, teaching and ministering to those both within and without the body of Christ. He has had the privilege of ministering to government officials of the Communist party of the People's Republic of China.
Happily married for 64 years, Verne and his wife Diane reside in Oceanside, California. They have four children who have presented them with 13 grandchildren and, to date, 15 great-grandchildren.
