Roger B. Burt is a clinical psychologist who earned his Ph.D. at Duke University. In his studies he was intrigued by the mythological and cultural underpinnings of humankind. Carl Jung taught the wonder of myth from across the world. Leslie White, the father of culturology, introduced him to the “extrasomatic stream”, or culture. The work of these two men relate strongly to the struggles of humankind. Dr. Burt’s clinical studies and his understanding of the human mind deepened his interest in the development and process leading to our current crises. He feels we stand on the cusp of what we call reality and tremble on the edge of transformation or failure as a species.
