Doug Goodman is a writer who lives in Houston. He must like it because he works at NASA and in his spare time when he is not writing, he trains human remains dogs. Yet in almost every book he writes, Houston is destroyed. Sometimes it is overrun by monsters (Dominion) and sometimes it is leveled by kaiju (Kaiju Fall). This may be a statement of his poor mental state or a deep-seeded aversion to large cities.
