Abi Kay is forty six years old, and lives in Solihull, in England, with her husband of almost twenty one years, and their four children. She is a lawyer by profession and she has her own successful law firm, but it is writing that has always been her true passion. She has been writing fiction for the last few years, finally finding the time between work home and family commitments, and now that her youngest child is ten years old.
‘That Thing Called Love’ is her first romance novel. The story is set predominantly in the county of Yorkshire, where Abi was born in 1969, and also in Henley-in-Arden, which is a village just a few miles from where she currently lives.
When she is not writing, she enjoys reading. Of the classics in literature, she enjoys the works of Jane Austen and Thomas Hardy. Currently, she has a varied reading list but mainly enjoys mainstream romance books and literary novels that are female focused.
When she is not writing or reading, or promoting her book, she loves to attend literary festivals, go for long walks, travel whenever possible, bake cakes and try new cuisines and do a spot of yoga.
